Westmont Women’s Soccer in Africa

A college soccer team with a bigger mission.

The Westmont Women’s Soccer Team has the amazing opportunity to go on a mission trip to Africa this coming May (2019) and we would love your prayers and financial support that this trip entails.

Although this will be the first trip to Africa for the current team, the Westmont Women's Soccer program has been working alongside Sports Outreach Institute (SOI)- a non-profit, non-denominational holistic ministry, since 2006, and since then the team has gone to Uganda and Kenya every three years or so.  The fundamental purpose of SOI is to identify and train committed leaders in the effective use of sports ministry and to alleviate human suffering – with the ultimate purpose of reaching people with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

What Will We Be Doing?
In May 2019, the team will be going to Kampala, Uganda and Nairobi, Kenya.  There, we will be working alongside and continuing to deepen our relationship to Sports Outreach.  We will be working with feeding programs, holding soccer clinics, assisting with HIV/AIDS victims, as well as working with orphanages of handicap children.  We will be working alongside SOI’s indigenous staff as well as helping in the ministry’s key project areas of sports, feeding, teaching, training, women’s empowerment, and public health.

What Will You Be Supporting?
Each team member must raise $3,550 for a total of $53,250 for all 15 players.  The $3,550 will cover all costs which is all inclusive of each member's trip needs (airfare, visas, food, lodging, and team supplies to name a few).

We Appreciate You!!!
Thank you so much for your support, it means so much to our team!!!

Many Blessings,
Westmont Women's Soccer
